The Purpose Of A Maori Ritual Dance Is To Demonstrate The Yin Development Of The Dancer

Modern science and Western culture in general refuse to believe Yin Yang Theory. They feel that Yin Yang Theory is a primitive belief system with no value.

Asian Kung Fu is based on Yin Yang Theory. Material on Asian Kung Fu uses the terms Yin and Yang copiously to describe  parts of the body, ways to move the body, or as labels for particular kinds of kung fu movements.

Many Western people who are interested in Asian Kung Fu do not know what to think. They read Asian Kung Fu books that talk all about Yin Yang Theory as if it is the most common thing in the world. Then they read Western articles about Yin Yang Theory that say Yin Yang Theory is a belief system with no value that was developed by primitive and therefore stupid people.

What should a beginner who is interested in learning Asian Kung Fu believe?

Yin Yang Theory does have value and can be used to discuss the human body or the practice of Asian Kung Fu. Yin Yang Theory can be used to divide the human body into areas that are Yin and Yang, or describe movements and actions of the human body as being generated by the Yin or Yang parts of the body.

The reader who is doubtful about Yin Yang Theory and sees no reason to believe the written claims of this blog anymore than any other written material about Yin Yang Theory, will be glad to know that there are many physical pieces of evidence to support and demonstrate the claims of Yin Yang Theory.

Various cultures around the world have developed rituals that are either designed to strengthen the Yin part of the body or to demonstrate the strength of the Yin part of the body. They could not and would not develop those rituals unless the Yin part of the body actually existed.

The Maori people of New Zealand are known for a ritual whose purpose is claimed be intimidation.  The ritual involves sticking the tongue out of the mouth and making a mean face. The mean face is why Westerners decided the ritual was for intimidation. The Westerners felt intimidated when they saw the the Maoris make the face, so to the Westerners, intimidation had to have been the goal of the ritual.

According to Happeh Theory, the Maori ritual is a demonstration of Yin strength. An indivdiual with weak Yin will not be able to stick very much of their tongue out of their mouth. Only individuals with strong Yin can stick their tongue far out of their mouth.

This picture shows a man performing the Maori ritual.

Just because the man is performing the Maori ritual of sticking his tongue, that does not mean the man has strong Yin. Anyone can stick their tongue out in the same way shown in the picture.

Actually, the individual in the picture has relatively weak Yin. The observations that lead to that conclusion are the thinness of the man’s body, the thin small face, the particular way that he is holding the wooden staff in his right hand, and most of all the relatively small size of his tongue.

Besides being a demonstration of the Yin strength of the body, the Maori ritual is also a training exercise. If the man in the picture continues to make the face he is making, maybe the picture is from a tourist performance or something, after some years have passed the Yin part of his body will become stronger, thereby enabling him to perform a more impressive version of the Maori ritual.

Anybody who is interested in strengthening the Yin part of the body, could do so by practicing the Maori face everyday. All there is to it is sticking the tongue as far out as it can go like the man in the picture is, opening the eyes up very wide like the man in the picture is, and slightly pushing the head and face forward.

After years of practice the physical appearance of both your head and your tongue will change as the Yin in those parts of the body strengthens. The tongue should get thicker and gain the ability to stick out farther. The head will usually become thicker and meatier looking than it was.

The Yin part of the body does exist. It can be developed and strengthened just like developing and strengthening a muscle.

EDIT

On copying this material it was noticed that some additional pertinent points could be made about the example picture. The man is thin looking. Not always but usually human beings with strong Yin will have a thicker look to their body. It is possible this man has a relatively weakly developed Yin part of the body.

(1)  One fact pointing to that conclusion is that the man appears to be performing in front of a crowd.

If the man is performing for tourists it would give more strength to the argument the man is only going through the motions of performing the ritual, which would mean his body was not receiving the Yin building stimulus that correct practice of the ritual provides.

(2) – The man’s head is moving to his right.

A healthy human body with a strong Yin should be mostly aligned and straight up and down. For those people who wonder if the head movement is part of the dance, it is possible that there is a movement of the head to the right as part of the dance.

Experience allows the knowledgeable observer to know that the head movement to the right is influenced by changes within the man’s body that make it want to move to the right. Those changes are linked to the next point.

(3) – The man is holding a spear as he performs the ceremony.

The spear has a very interesting look to it. The angle of the man’s body, the angle of the spear, and the overall look of the body, make it seem like the man is grabbing his penis as if he was masturbating.

With the penis drawn on the picture, the look on the man’s face with his tongue hanging out almost looks like the face of someone while they masturbate.

According to Happeh Theory, masturbation will change the human body so that it tends to always take on the posture the individual holds during masturbation. When the individual is under stress, exerting strong physical force, or if they are exhausted, their body will assume the masturbation posture it has frozen into.

Without being able to see the man’s entire body it is not possible to be 100% certain if he has a healthy Yin and he is one of those individuals in whom healthy Yin makes them very thin, or if the man is a performer whose body has been changed by masturbation, and he does not have very strong Yin.
