This video clip is one of my favorites. In it Goku insults Oolong who is currently shapeshifted into the form of a bull. The insult is a physical gesture of a very specific type. I was surprised to see it actually because it is not very nice and this is a cartoon.
The insult gesture that Goku makes is a gesture that indicates that the other person is unbalanced. This can be a not so big a deal as in unbalanced mentally. If you understand why people become unbalanced, this insult is pretty strong. A person who masturbates excessively over a period of time will change in such a way that they resemble the face made by Goku.
These next two videos do not show anything kung fu related. They are more psychological insights. I am providing these types of clips in the blog to demonstrate that the cartoonists tried to instruct children about real life morals and psychology as well as real life kung fu principles.
The first one shows Bulma who has fallen for a shapeshifted Oolong, then watched him shapeshift into a monster and she runs away. A farmer gives her a lecture on how good people are deceived by the false presentations of bad people.
The next video is of Oolong giving a revealing speech about his psychological makeup and needs. The speech is quite insightful and revealing for a child’s cartoon. I think that Asian people bring up their kids to be adults at a younger age than is common in the west.
