Please take a moment to examine the picture below and read the associated caption.
The caption states the picture is of the shadow of a minaret. A minaret is a religious building associated with the Muslim religion. The picture below shows view looking up at some minarets.
What inspired the design of such a unique structure? A tall narrow structure is not very useful for real world activities. What could have driven Muslim people to construct buildings of such a design? The minarets in the picture above do not seem to provide any insight. They look like nothing more than tall thin buildings with some ornamentation on them.
Figuring out one possible reason minarets were designed the way they are requires going back to the picture of the shadow of the minaret. Please examine the picture again, this time looking for clues as to why a minaret was designed the way that it was.
The shadow of the minaret looks like a human body doesn’t it? The top looks like the head of the body.
The area below the head looks like the shoulders and upper arms.
The lower bulge on the minaret would correspond to the waist and hip area of the human body.
The long thin unadorned lower part of the minaret would be the legs of a human body.
If you have trouble seeing the resemblance, the next picture showing an angled rear view of a human being with his arms folded in front of him might help.
The human body and the minaret shadow with the human body outline are compared.
The head of the human body matches the top of the minaret.
The shoulder and upper arm area of the human body match the upper bulge of the minaret.
The waist, hip, and buttock area match the lower bulge of the minaret.
And the legs of the human body match the lower featureless part of the minaret shadow.
No way, the minaret is a phallic symbol
I agree the minaret also represents a phallic symbol. But that does not mean this post is incorrect.
The human body looks like a big phallic symbol too. So if a minaret = a phallic symbol and a human body = a phallic symbol, then a minaret = a human body.
Why are you obsessed with phalluses?
Because I am one and so are you.
Human beings are big walking phalluses. Every part of a human being is a replica of a phallus.
So it would be more accurate to say I am obsessed with the human body, and not just phalluses specifically.
