Comparison between Happeh Theory and Phrenology

Comparison between Happeh Theory and Phrenology ideas on the shape and size of the human head, and it's relationship to changes to the personality or thinking ability of a human being

Happeh Theory says:

What is the main difference between how Phrenology treats the relationship between the mentality and personality of a human being, with the size and shape of their head, and how Happeh Theory treats the relationship between the mentality and personality of a human being, with the size and shape of the head?

Phrenology apparently believes that there were areas in the brain associated with different character and personality traits. The size and shape of the skull in the various areas, would determine the strenght or weakness of a particular character or personality trait.

Happeh Theory says it does not matter what the exact reason why the size and shape of the head influence the personality and character of a human being is. The only thing that matters, is that the personality and character of a person are determined or influenced by the size and shape of the head.

According to Happeh Theory, a person could try to find out exactly what is going on in a detailed way with this process, but it is not necessary. It is not necessary to know how a microwave oven works, to cook a TV dinner. It is not necessary to know why Phrenology works, it is only necessary to know that the size and shape of the head can be used to make educated assumptions about the character and personality of a human being.

The history books say that:

"The real scientific Phrenology, which established a direct link between the morphology of the skull and the human character, was discovered by the Austrian physician Franz Joseph GALL (1758-1828).

Through careful observation and extensive experimentation, Gall believed he had linked aspects of character, called faculties, to precise organs in the brain."

Phrenologists believed that the mind has a set of different mental faculties, with each particular faculty represented in a different area of the brain. These areas were said to be proportional to a person's propensities, and the importance of the given mental faculty.

It was believed that the cranial bone conformed in order to accommodate the different sizes of these particular areas of the brain in different individuals, so that a person's capacity for a given personality trait could be determined simply by measuring the area of the skull that overlies the corresponding area of the brain.
