Phrenology is a science that was developed around 1800 by a man named Franz Joseph Gall.
The science of Phrenology claims the personality of a human being is influenced by the size and shape of their skull, including the location, size, and shape of any bumps or depressions in the skull.
The established medical community of the time dismissed Phrenology as “quackery”, which is defined as “unproven or fraudulent medical practices”. That dismissal of Phrenology as a valid science has continued into the present day.
While the exact details and claims of Phrenology may not be true, the basic concept of Phrenology is true. The size and shape of the skull, including the location, size, and shape of any bumps or depressions in the skull, are an indicator of the character, personality, and mentality of a human being.
If that is true, then why was Phrenology discredited as a valid science, and why has the science of Phrenology remained discredited to his day?
(1) – Phrenology was purposefully attacked and discredited as a valid science for commercial reasons.
The author of this blog believes, especially in light of the behavior of modern science towards other “quack” sciences, that the medical community discredited Phrenology and Phrenologist’s to get rid of a financial competitor. In addition to having to compete with Phrenologists for the customer’s money, some of the beliefs of Phrenologists ran directly counter to the beliefs of the established medical community. If Phrenology was allowed to continue unopposed, it could be possible that Phrenology might even drive customers away from established medicine.
That had to be prevented at all costs, since the focus of established medicine is profits, not health care.
(2) – The science of Phrenology was purposefully discredited by “evil forces” to prevent discovery.
Phrenological knowledge can help people become more aware of the reality of human beings. What is meant by that is Phrenology provides a way for a human being to judge their fellows that is both accurate and simple. That ability is danger to human beings who are “evil”, meaning human beings who have a desire to cause harm or distress to others. If everyone can tell who the evil people are through Phrenological observation, evil people would be watched all the time in order to inhibit their evil tendencies.
By discrediting the science of Phrenology, evil people can act on their desires with less of a possibility of discovery. Instead of being watched all of the time because everyone in the tribe could tell by the look of their head that they were evil, the evil people could commit their crimes and then hope that traditional law enforcement techniques would not catch them.
The “evil” people who discredited Phrenology were not small time criminals or immoral people intent on burglary or theft or adultery. They were a group of people whose overall goal is control of nations and states. Attaining that goal requires elevated human beings with the powers generally attributed to elevated human beings. Various mental powers including telepathy, charisma, and possession.
If the science of Phrenology was allowed to flourish, and everyone including the common man learned that a certain type of head was associated with mental powers, and then everyone began to notice that a group of people with heads denoting mental powers were taking over nations and states, they would quite naturally oppose the invaders. To prevent that from happening, Phrenology and other similar sciences, almost all them either relating bodily observations to emotional and mental qualities, or espousing or describing the existence of mental powers, had to be suppressed.
Why is Phrenology still discredited in modern times?
The thinking person might wonder how or why Phrenology can still be discredited in modern times. After all, it seems like some modern scientists somewhere would review the work of Phrenologists and it’s opponents from back in the 1800′s, to see how those arguments held up under modern scientific examination.
That does not and has not happened because once human beings are successfully trained, it is very unlikely they will break their training. The evil people who discredited Phrenology knew that fact and counted on it.
Since modern scientists are trained that Phrenology is a “quack” science, those scientists whose professional qualities are supposed to include doubt and curiosity, never doubt Phrenology is a “quack” science, and don’t exhibit any curiosity about why Phrenologists believed what they did.
