The African drum was invented using the same idea as the architectural column described in the previous post.
The picture below shows an African drum called a Djembe.
As you can see, in general it is a column. The column is not the same dimensions thruout it’s vertical length. It does spread outward at the upper half. This is not pertinent. Generically it is a column.

This type of African Drum was invented to train a person to build the column within their body. Once the column is structurally sound, the drum playing for the remainder of the person’s life will strengthen this internal column. It can become infinitely strong. The column can absorb all the power that drum playing can channel into it.
